From 2016 to 2017, fifteen female University students studying any arts subject (this could be anything from creative writing to fashion to art to design to drama or music or journalism or similar) will have the opportunity to receive mentoring from the University Women in the Arts scheme.
The scheme will provide mentoring for the 15 chosen female University students from some of the leading women in the UK.
Students will be provided with mentoring on how to work in and become a leader in the arts, covering advice on leadership skills, careers, work/life balance, how to succeed at University and beyond, finances, how the arts work, how to make the transition from studying to working and other advice.
The scheme will run from 2016 – 2017.
Over the course of the year, students will have the opportunity to meet and be mentored by many of the leading women in the arts in the UK.
There will also be a series of free public University Women in the Arts events, which will be open to all.
Please see “Apply” for further information on how to apply for the mentoring and sign up for our mailing list to be kept informed of the public events.
