Who can apply to University Women in the Arts?
To be eligible to apply for the mentoring part of University Women in the Arts you must be a female student studying the arts at a University in the UK. This could be at Foundation, Undergraduate or Postgraduate level. You could also be studying any arts subject – arts subjects include Art, Creative Writing, Design, Drama, Music, Dance, Fashion, English etc. Often your University will say your course is part of the School or College of The Arts which should help you know if your course is an arts course or not. How do I apply?
You can email firstname.lastname@example.org until midnight on March 26th 2016 to apply for the mentoring part of University Women in the Arts. Your email should say why you are applying and you should make sure you attach a one page CV or biography which detail what subject you are studying, where, and your past achievements and/or what you would like your future achievements to be.
Why should I apply?
Fifteen female students studying the arts at University level will be selected for University Women in the Arts. Over the course of a year they will have the opportunity to meet many of the women leading the way in the arts in the UK and have the opportunity to be mentored by them on how to work in and lead the way in the arts.
Are there any age restrictions?
No. The only restriction is you need to be a female student studying the arts at a University in the UK.
I’m not a student, can I attend the public University Women of the Arts events?
Anyone can attend the public University Women in the Arts events which will run from 2016 – 2017. To be kept informed of these events, sign up to our mailing list.
